Admiral Security has long recognized that customer service is a key function of any security officer’s job, and it is particularly important in commercial real estate, where that individual may be the first face a current or prospective client sees when they enter your building! When providing directions, enforcing rules, or responding to emergencies, how an officer interacts with individuals can greatly determine whether the outcome is positive or negative. Admiral has long been lauded for the excellent service our officers provide and we believe that this is a direct result of a combination of a strong selection process and outstanding training.
Many companies try to express the value of their training in terms of quantity, but Admiral believes the quality of training is equally, if not more, important. Customer Service Skills are a key topic of our training courses, and we believe that we have one of the best programs currently in the industry today. A sampling of our available commercial real estate training includes:
The Admiral Customer Excellence® Program (ACE): This program uses elements from world renowned customer service training. The course gives Admiral employees an excellent opportunity to sharpen and focus their interpersonal skills and develop from an employee who meets the customers’ expectations to one that exceeds them.
Topics include:
- Resolving Customer Concerns
- Soliciting Customer Feedback
- Dealing with Difficult People and Situations
- Taking Additional Steps
LEED© Training Classroom Presentation: At Admiral, we pride ourselves on being a true business partner for our clients. We recognize that the challenges in property management are constantly changing, and our goal is to be at the forefront of that evolution. That is why we are proud to be one of the first and only security providers to roll out a training program for our employees dedicated to understanding the LEED™ certification process. “Working in a LEED™ Certified Building: An Introduction for Security Officers” is a training covering the following topics:
- What is LEED™ Certification?
- The Benefits of LEED™
- Energy Awareness Programs
- Tips for Energy Conservation
Roll Call Training: Training is an on-going process where positive behaviors are reinforced, inadequate performance is corrected and new information is constantly shared. It is a necessary process in any successful security program. However, with the varying schedules of the security force, finding the time and resources to conduct on-going training can be a challenge. To that end, Admiral has developed an exclusive “Roll Call Training” program, which can be utilized based on our clients unique requirements. Created to be completed in a few minutes over the course of several days, Roll Call Training consists of several separate modules, designed to be utilized topic by topic on a bi-weekly basis. Subjects range from maintenance issues to emergency response and are customized based on each individual building’s policies and procedures. Each section also includes several learning point questions and a short final quiz.
We believe that because of our Commercial Real Estate approach, we can proudly display real, measurable results that our efforts are working! Admiral employees consistently receive top honors from industry associations and local business groups. This is significant, because many of the selection panels for these awards are comprised of several members from various security companies – meaning our competitors also agree that our officers are worthy of recognition!
Assets that are essential for the functioning of a society and economy demand a higher level of security protection. Using the framework outlined by the US Critical Infrastructure Protection Program of 1998 (and its subsequent revisions) as a basis, Admiral has created a Critical Infrastructure Division (CID) for our clients with business in the areas of:
- Finance
- Transportation
- Power
- Information and Communications
- Federal and Municipal Services
- Emergency Services
- Public Works
- Agriculture and Food
- National Monuments and Icon
These clients typically have special needs regarding regulations, safety, contingency planning, and training and exercising for emergency operations. Admiral Security is aware of these requirements and prepared to work with our clients to ensure that our officers not only meet, but in many cases exceed, these requirements.
Regulations: Admiral takes pride in ensuring our employees participate in education and professional development programs to learn as much as possible about these ever changing regulations. We strive to be a true resource for our clients – a security solution – not just a security “vendor.”
Safety: At our CID locations, safety is a key component of a well-rounded program. Safety concerns are reviewed and root-cause analysis may be conducted when certain incidents occur to potentially aid in mitigating future occurrences.
Contingency Planning: Admiral Security has an extensive contingency plan should disasters occur. All of our Operations Team Members are equipped with smart phones and laptops utilizing the most current VPN software to ensure that critical work may be completed from any remote location. All of Admiral’s systems, such as scheduling and payroll, may also be utilized from off-site locations, and our technology department has all critical infrastructure backed up at alternate locations that can be easily accessed if necessary.
Admiral has access to a 24 hour, 7 days per week UL Listed Central Communications Center located at our headquarter building which is equipped with redundant infrastructure. It incorporates self-contained air conditioning and environmental control systems, an uninterruptible power supply and two hybrid emergency generators capable of running on multiple fuel sources. These systems ensure continuous power and environmental conditioning for all necessary equipment in the event of short-term or prolonged power outages.
Training and Exercise Planning: In addition to our in-house training programs, our team includes a FEMA/DHS Master Exercise Practitioner (MEP) who completed the program as one of the only private industry attendees. We believe this focus on our front-line employees is key, because when an emergency happens, seconds count. A well-trained team can react quickly and confidently, ensuring that plans are enacted when practical and feasible, and good judgement can be exercised when the plan just won’t work. The goal of Admiral’s CID Exercise Program is to drill and train for scenarios related to emergency response, so that our employees are prepared to act.
